Ok I got some editorial space. Hear me out. I would like to talk about all the new bike shops in my area for example. Are these true bike shops/ i think not.I am from the Tri-City area of Michigan and lately I have seen new bike shops spring up like weeds. Where were these so called bike shops when biking was not as popular? Mosst of them are started by rich little boys using their familys money to make a bike shop. Most of these so called owners of shops don`t even ride on a regular basis. What the fuck? People should see these people not as true bikers but as people that think it is so cool to be part of the new bike scene, Pay you dues assholes and learn what it is like to become a real bike rider. Take a trip on your bike not with your trailer and your bike inside. Ride every day that you can. Show people that you give a shit just not looking good. Do some good for the community is it all about money to you people?

tv shows, tv shows, tv shows....
once jesse james hit the tv screen, and then occ, and then who is it now??????
well it doesn't really matter. these shows brought more motorcycle owners into the industry than ever before. is that good or bad, i think it is good for the businesses that where in it over ten years ago before it was politically correct, but bad when money hungry people, needing to look cool riding there bikes out of trailers to shows three miles from home. if you are going to open up a bike shop you should have good help that can service thier customers properly, and most inportantly stay in business after the fade dies, for the people that live the lifestyle.

I dont think it has anything to do with paying dues...thats just like you winning the lottery and forgoe your winnings to someone who has been playing the lottery longer than you? i think not..people who have an oppurtunity or going to take it just as you would...people who dont have the oppurtunity are going to talk shit about you for that reason...if you dont know...then dont say shit about anything..if you had the chance to open your own bike shop you would for the same reason everybody else is THEY SHARE A PASSION for motorcycling..reguardless of how long or how long they havent been riding!

see i believe you are not understanding the point of this forum raymone. its not about having passion for motorcycling. anyone not matter how old or young, rich or poor, can have passion for motorcycling. the point of this forum is some people never even looked at a motorcycle in there lives before the tv show bang occured. then they started going into bike shops and said this is easy and cool, lets open up a shop and make loads of money just like them. well i am here to tell you its not that easy and that my friend is why 6 out of 10 new shops close every two years. the biggest reason for that is bikers are a loyal group and would much rather buy parts from a true life time biker w/ true passion , than a would be business man looking to take thier money and run or should i say drive away and not look back. see what every one needs to understand is a true biker bike shop will still be here when the fad dies, so that the people who continue to ride can have an honest hard working shop to get them what they need to keep thier scoot going down the road shiny side up.
and as far as "JT" goes next time try to curb your languagee we have cma members that visit this site. respect is next months topic

bubba has and will always live, love and ride motorcycles.Hell go by his shop on even the most crappy day,and his bike will be parked out front. The other shop owners drive thier pickups. He has to have at least a million miles on two wheels. He is the real deal.Who would you rather buy your parts from, a guy who rides,or a guy who claims to.I'm going to the guy with the big black dirty dresser.

Bubba`s is the real deal ! These guys know their stuff and if not they will find out for you. Its a real bike shop not just a fashion show. Bubba rides bikes more than any other shop owner I have ever seen. Stop in and see him he may seem gruff at times but wait till ya get to know him! I got a Shovelhead and it is the best place in the world for those old parts I have ever seen. They surely do know their old parts. And if the young boys working there have any questions they will go to Bubba`s office and wake him up then the fun begins !
Ride on
