Once again this year we had the Memorial Weekend Classic Benefit weekend. A successful weekend of food, music and fundraising. Our favorite charity once again was our local Camp Fishtales.
Saturday bike show had 42 bikes entered and represented a good croos section of makes and models. Our show also draws a good showing of the older Shovelheads.
Sunday was our benefit Poker Run. This year we had 540 paid participants. The best turnout ever.
The bike raffle was won by Kathy Macieski from Bay City and it was on her Birthday!
We raised appromately $35,000 this year for the Camp.
I thought it was a great weekend of fundrasising, freindship and enjoying our bikes.
I would like to thank everyone that bought a bike raffle ticket, entered the bike show, rode the poker run, bought 50/50 tickets or donated to the cause. Also all the people and bussiness that sold tickets for us. All the volunteers that helped make the show a success. This includes all the great bands that donated their skills. The parking lot attendents that did their best to get everyone a parking spot. The women and guys that spent hours in the kitchen feeding everyone who showed up. These people ranged from freinds , bussinesses, family. Infact my wife my Grand kids and this year my two sisters helped with the food. I am sure I missed someone so thanks to everyone.
I am alreadly planning for next years event. It will be the ninth year of this event and my 25th year in bussiness. If anyone or any organization would like to volunteer to help out let me know. Next year I would like to sell more bike raffle tickets. I need more people and bussinesses to sell tickets. If interested please contact me.
Any other suggestions or concerns are appreciated.
